Ahead of Knowledge Day (September 1), the Sokol Forestry Polytechnic College held the grand opening of the “Carpentry” workshop with the participation of Alexey Abramov, General Director of JSC “Bereznik.”
In 2021, JSC “Bereznik” signed an agreement with the Sokol Forestry Polytechnic College on strategic partnership in training highly qualified personnel for the forestry industry, under which the company contributed to upgrading the institution’s material and technical facilities.
The new “Carpentry” workshop gives students the opportunity to become familiar with and practice using modern equipment currently employed in the woodworking industry.
Alexey Abramov congratulated the college director Alexey Sorokin and his team on the beginning of the academic year, wishing them successful work, talented students, and achievement of their goals, and presented a certificate for the purchase of sporting goods for the college student sports club “Energia.”
The management believes that partnership between educational institutions and business will lead to mutually beneficial results.
“Sokol District is the ‘Forestry Industry Center’ of the Vologda Region, where all conditions have been created for the implementation of major investment projects such as JSC ‘Bereznik’,” said Alexey Abramov. “Every year, the Sokol Forestry Polytechnic College graduates dozens of forestry specialists, and for our company it is important that highly qualified graduates have stable jobs here in their hometown rather than outside the region. We are pleased to provide opportunities for the younger generation both in acquiring new knowledge and skills and in future employment.”
